tired bodies, warm bellies

these are some sounds and something to look at.

the sounds come from a project in which i brought an audio recorder around with me on my daily routine.  i recorded wherever i was each hour on the hour for 1 minute.  (the people you can hear gave enthusiastic consent to being recorded)

i cut these recordings down a bit so they fit into the space of this song

​

i added a drone tone

and i improvised a keyboard part

​

the visual component was a suggestion from Liz- that the sounds reminded them of slowly dripping paint, and wouldn't it be cool if we took a video of that?

so we did.

and here it is.  i find it to be a meditative moment.      you may find it differently, or the same.
